Mozilla發布了Firefox 7。 主要新特性為：優化內存使用，減少內存占用提升性能，包括響應、啟動和頁面加載時間；改善內存管理，JavaScript垃圾回收提升工作頻率來釋放內存，改善打開多標簽時或 Firefox 長時間工作時的性能；支持硬件加速Azure Direct2D for Canvas；支持W3C navigation timing spec API；加入性能報告擴展Telemetry，等等。Firefox 7的初始內存占用與前版本基本相同。
Mozilla已經在FTP的releases目錄上放出了Firefox 7.0 正式版的安裝文件，但暫時還并沒有更新首頁來完成最終的發布工作。

* Added support for the Web Timing specification
* Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Firefox. This can be enabled by installing an add-on
